Gwendolene Newton holds a Managing Real Estate Broker's license at C21 SGR.  She is a community real estate activist, and the Immediate Past President of the Dearborn Realtist® Board. Newton, a Bronzeville native, studied at Howard University and Roosevelt University, earning a BS in Business Administration. After an 11-year corporate career in marketing and finance, she transitioned to real estate in 2004. With 2 decades of experience, she has coached over 1000 brokers, managed 2 offices, and sold over $150 million in real estate as a former Asset Manager with Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and a practicing Real Estate Broker.  Passionate about educating African American communities on building wealth through real estate, Newton has been honored with numerous awards, including the Chicago Defender’s Women of Excellence in 2023 and the Roberta “Bobbie” Raymond Leadership & Innovation Award in 2022.   Dearborn Realtist® Board’s highest honor, The Elmore Baker Award in 2021. Previous accolades include the Dearborn Realtist® Board Ripley B Mead Jr. Service Award and Dearborn Realtist Board’s Realtist® of the Year.
